FIMI producer of the Xiaomi Mi Drone 4K, released a successor of this popular drone. The new model is way more compact and features foldable rotor arms. They follow the trend to make the drone more convenient for travel. The all new FIMI X8 SE is still larger and heavier than DJI Mavic Air, but this benefits air time and is also cheaper.

Thathas changed with the launch of the FIMI X8 SE, this is a Mavic Pro clone you could say with a 3 axis gimbal, 4k 100Mbps footage capture and a foldable design like the DJI Mavic series. This new drone is under the FIMI brand but is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem and it has a very decent 33 minutes of flight time, a max range of 5kms with Full4K 30 FPS video recording with 3- axis gimbal for excellent stabilization, clean and smooth videos. The drone features 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency allowing it to be controlled over distances of up to 1.86 miles (3000 meters) at max altitudes of up to 0.5 miles (800 meters). GPS and GLONASS for precise positioning. Also when I bought it it was a Xiaomi Mi Drone, not FIMI, the hell is FIMI.. I am super pissed I found and older version of the app from unofficial source, it works although I get a warning it's for older version of Android. P.S. FIMIX8 MINI review: The Camera. Chris I bought two weeks ago a Hubsan Zino. Is quite similar to Fimi X8 but a lot cheaper (you can get it from Bangood around 250 USD with coupons). I’ve also own Mi Drone 4K, and since they are quite different (Mi Drone flies better), Zino is very portable like X8. Camera, however, I think is not as good as X8 and, of course, range is far less.
